We understand that purchasing an engagement ring or any fine jewelry can be an overwhelming experience.
At Clegit, we go above and beyond to guarantee that your piece is meticulously crafted to perfection and aligns with your exact desires. We prioritize your satisfaction, and that’s why we provide comprehensive warranties and policies to ensure you are fully covered in the unlikely event that anything falls short of your expectations.
When it comes to your engagement ring or any other fine jewelry you create with us, we understand that close is not good enough. If you are not absolutely delighted with your The Clegit, we are committed to making it right by offering modifications or remakes at no additional cost!
Here are the details: We genuinely mean it – if you are not in love with your custom jewelry, we want to hear from you so we can make things right. There are no hoops to jump through; simply reach out to us just as you did during the design process, and we will assist you. We will provide a prepaid and insured return shipping label for any necessary repairs or remakes. Adjustments that would not have affected the original purchase price will be made free of charge. We will only charge for changes that would have resulted in a higher initial price, such as adding additional accent diamonds. We kindly ask that you inform us of any change requests within 30 days of receiving your jewelry.
If the size of your ring doesn’t fit perfectly, simply inform us within 365 days of your purchase, and we will provide one free resizing. We will even take care of insured shipping for both ways!
However, we highly recommend ensuring the correct ring size from the beginning. To assist you, we offer free ring sizing kits for all customers based in the United States. Please note that not all rings can be resized, and size changes exceeding 1.5 sizes may require remaking the ring entirely. If necessary, we will remake the ring, but this means you will be without your ring during that time, which we understand can be challenging.
If any small accent gems (<$100 value) break or become dislodged from their settings within the first year after we create your jewelry, we will replace the accent gems free of charge. This warranty will be extended for an additional year each time you send us your piece for cleaning and routine maintenance.
Conditions Please note the following conditions regarding our warranty:
- Opals, Pearls, and Moonstones require special care and are not eligible for free replacement.
- This warranty is applicable to the original purchaser of the jewelry and the recipient within their lifetime.
- The warranty applies only to jewelry created by The Clegit and purchased directly from The Clegit’s website. It does not apply to items purchased from independent sellers/makers on the The Clegit Maker Marketplace.
Related Notes Routine Maintenance: We strongly recommend scheduling routine maintenance for your jewelry every 6-12 months, which includes cleaning, polishing, and checking the gem settings. This ensures that your jewelry remains beautiful and your gemstones stay secure. We are more than happy to provide this maintenance service for you and extend our Accent Stone Loss Warranty as specified above.
Center Stone Insurance: We do not offer insurance for your jewelry or its center stone in cases of loss or damage. To safeguard your investment, we highly recommend obtaining insurance coverage for your piece through a homeowners, renters, or individual jewelry insurance policy. Your insurance provider can easily assist you with this service. To facilitate the process, we provide a The Clegit Detailed Receipt with every purchase, which contains all the necessary product information for your insurance company to establish your policy.
This certificate serves as confirmation that all metals, diamonds, and gemstones in your The Clegit purchase are provided as specified in the project proposal.
Materials Specification The term “as specified” in the above summary refers to the following:
Metal: In compliance with United States FTC regulations, your jewelry is marked with the appropriate metal stamp indicating the metal type and minimum purity, along with our trademark. For example, a 14K metal stamp signifies a gold alloy containing a minimum of 14 parts gold mixed with 10 parts other metal. Diamonds and Gemstones with Certificates: For diamonds and gemstones accompanied by certificates, we guarantee that the stone you receive matches the specifications stated in the certificate, including its characteristics as determined by the issuing body (e.g., GIA, AGL, etc.). Diamonds and Gemstones without Certificates: For diamonds and gemstones without certificates, this certificate affirms that we have supplied the indicated type of stone (e.g., diamond, sapphire, emerald) and whether it is natural or lab-created. However, this certificate does not cover specific grading characteristics (e.g., AAA, AA, etc.) for non-certified stones. Replacement Terms If your piece is not delivered according to the specified conditions mentioned above, upon your request, we will replace the inaccurate item with one that meets or exceeds the promised characteristics. Alternatively, Clegit reserves the right to request the return of the item in exchange for a refund of the original purchase price.
Making a Claim In the event of a claim under this policy, you must allow us to:
Inspect the piece and any evaluation upon which your claim is based. Have the piece examined by an independent laboratory, including the potential removal of diamonds or gemstones if necessary for examination purposes.
Warranty Conditions This certificate is subject to the following conditions:
This certificate does not cover design or finish characteristics but solely pertains to the authenticity of the metals, diamonds, and gemstones. Metal discoloration and skin reactions to metal are not considered ev
idence of inauthentic material. Precious metals used in jewelry are susceptible to discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, chlorine, skin contact, or environmental factors. Some individuals may experience a reaction with sterling silver, resulting in a green residue. Similarly, some people may have allergic reactions to the nickel content in standard white gold alloys. The condition of diamonds or gemstones will be determined based on standard gemological techniques utilized at the time of purchase, including examination under no greater than 10x magnification. This certificate confirms the authenticity of the piece at the time of shipment and does not cover damages occurring after the date of shipment. The accuracy of diamond and gemstone measurements will be determined within a tolerance of +/- 0.05mm and +/- 0.05ct. This certificate applies to the original purchaser of the jewelry and the initial recipient within their lifetime. This certificate is valid exclusively for jewelry created by Clegit and directly purchased from the The Clegit website. It does not apply to any item acquired from independent sellers/makers on the The Clegit Maker Marketplace.
